The owner of Bungalow Landscape approached me with a big design
challenge spanning more than six months - the development of a
comprehensive brand identity from the ground up, along with
illustrations, the design of a website, and additional collateral
like lawn signs and thank-you cards. As a former executive in the
tech industry, the owner was very passionate about the market
research and competitive analysis stages of the process, so we took
plenty of time to uncover the aesthetic he really wanted.
The result? The formation of a brand identity for Bungalow Landscape
with an abundance of personality, that feels both classic and
modern, with a unique visual flair.
After a long research stage, the iteration stage began. I digitized over 40 logo alternatives with different imagery until we settled on the final direction, and then iterated some more to develop the final lockup.
Imagery was a huge part of this project. Throughout the brand development stage, the client and I explored different branded illustrations for use in collateral that would help solidify the brand voice and direction.
